{"id":1072,"date":"2025-12-08T09:30:44","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T08:30:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/?p=1072"},"modified":"2025-12-10T11:57:52","modified_gmt":"2025-12-10T10:57:52","slug":"classic-my-oracle-support-is-gone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/2025\/12\/08\/classic-my-oracle-support-is-gone\/","title":{"rendered":"Classic My Oracle Support is gone"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This morning I wanted to look for a note and to my surprise the old Metalink, then My Oracle Support portal, did not exist anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All is now merged in the new &#8220;My Oracle Support&#8221; site, previously known as &#8220;My Oracle Cloud Support&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>link to bookmark is <a href=\"https:\/\/support.oracle.com\/support\/\">https:\/\/support.oracle.com\/support\/<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New DocID, now is KB<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Important to notice is, The&nbsp; DocID number were changed. For instance, to find the following note:<br><em>\u2002\u2002\u2002\u2002&#8221;How to add an Additional Listener in RAC setup&nbsp;(Doc ID 2456650.1)&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You need to look for the&nbsp;<strong>title.&nbsp;<\/strong>The document has now a new ID, starting with KB (Knowledge Base):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"464\" height=\"44\" src=\"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1073\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image.png 464w, https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image-300x28.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 464px) 100vw, 464px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The links from Google are still not updated and do not work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"443\" height=\"119\" src=\"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1074\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image-1.png 443w, https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image-1-300x81.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 443px) 100vw, 443px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The&nbsp;<strong>solution&nbsp;is to search for the title <\/strong>in the new Oracle Support site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or use the <a href=\"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/2025\/12\/08\/new-oracle-support-portal-docid-to-kb-link-translation\/\">MOS DocId to KB link translation <\/a>I&#8217;ve compiled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Old SRs, new SRs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SRs from the &#8220;classic&#8221; portal are now at the end of the list as &#8220;Archived Service Requests&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are three headings now:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>These service requests need your attention <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oracle is working on these service requests for you <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Archived Service Requests (last 2 years from old portal)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To create new SRs for On-premises, you need to search for &#8220;Oracle Database&#8221;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"454\" height=\"346\" src=\"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1075\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image-2.png 454w, https:\/\/anjo.pt\/keyword-oracle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/12\/image-2-300x229.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 454px) 100vw, 454px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Feedback<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately there is not anymore the possibility to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>see last searches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>see last views documents\/notes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>favorites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use old DocID in the search (would be enough to keep in the text of the new note!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No wget script to download patches <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Search engine does not prioritize most viewed notes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I&#8217;ll get used to the new portal, but as everytime, changes are not easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Status 10.12.2025: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Link to patches were removed from notes.
