Yesterday I received a letter from Google sent from Jamaica, NY.
Over last few years:
– Hand blender (soups)
– Rolling pin (pizzas)
– World map (travel)
– Stroll on a clothes shop and telling me what to buy
Geneva will ban ‘smoking material’ from public places from the second half of the year. Finally. Yesterday I was already sick of bad breathing other’s cigarretes. In middle of the night I woke up and washed my face again. This morning first thing i did was wash my hair and put clothes further away.
On part?
The car: Nissan Sunny, 1.4 SLX, 1992, portuguese plates.
The situation: parked and persecuted at my working place.
The dream: drive it to Russia.
The problem: no insurance, no technical inspection done.
The secondary problem: cannot get insurance without inspection, cannot get inspection outside Portugal, cannot drive to Portugal without insurance.
Possible solution #1: drive to Portugal anyway and solve bureaucratic problems. Drive it back. Very risky due both: no insurance and weak technical condition of the car.
Possible solution #2: send to a scrap yard around here (if they accept). Buy another car when really doing the dream. I’ll cry until the car floats away.
Possible solution #3: register in this country and try to pass the inspection here then get insurance. Most probably I’ll be fined first and fail the certification.
Ideas? Suggestions?
Apart of being completely layperson, not celebrate much of the much celebrated this time of our calendar, I could completely skip the ‘happy new year’ stuff. The other day my neighbor used the french expression ‘mes voeux’ (my vows), which indeed I could use in reply. You can think I’m referring to the most common cause of this moment, but maybe not. Maybe I’m expressing something really not so good, or not.

Picasa, Flickr, other? I decided other to keep my pictures and videos as well as a backup area for my stuff. However my hosting provider does not give me more than 2GB of space, not enough for the, maybe, 10GB of images I’ve. I would like to be hosted by infomaniak.ch but they do not accept domains like mine. tan pis.
Before posting this i found out play.blogger.com. Quite nice to see others pictures. Voyeurisme?
Fifteen days, 30 liters backpack, challenge ‘nomad’ third chapter. The other two were 20 days in Brazil and 9 days in Malaysia (and Singapore). More and more in my head it says that one should buy the essential in the host country and I was not yet capable. But one day I’ll do it.
Leaving Monday with hand-luggage only I’ll spend few days in Tokyo and then move North, stay in temple, go to some mountains and visit Hokkaido. We have a meeting with Yushi in Tokyo, on Wednesday. Another person also in Sapporo, Hokkaido. For sure we will not feel alone.
